In the immersive installation “chamber II. reflecting river”, Guadalupe visits and explores a personal landscape she discovered by herself in her somatic memory. Relevant visual elements and movements take form in this exhibition, in which she interconnects her own imaginary with actual archaeological finds located in the caves of northern Mexico, the place she considers to be the earliest connection to her ancestors.

This landscape was constantly activated by the sound of the audience's steps inside it and by a long durational performance.

During the 24 hours that the performance lasted Guadalupe approached various somatic memories. Her reflection on the sculpture “portal de mi tierra” was a constant reference and connection point during the performance.

A number of various drawings appeared on the wall, inspired by her state of mind at each moment. A further inspiration for the drawings were human representations in cave paintings.

In “chamber II, reflecting river”⁣ the material and immaterial perform to create a third space where the visitor had an active role.
